    Hi,

Do you have M1 Tune installed? i2 is used to analyse the data logged by the M1, but it requires M1 Tune to be installed to retrieve the data from the M1.

Does the M1 have the Use Pro Logging option enabled?

    Hi David,

The Pro Logging is a Enable that is purchased to allow for i2 Pro to be used for the analysis of the data logging.

I2 Standard can be used with any log file from the ECU or MoTeC dash.

You have not clearly stated you that you have "M1 Tune" installed. This is required for communications.

Perhaps you have installed "M1 Build" by mistake -- this has nothing to do with the communications with the M1 ECU required to retrieve your logged data.

You will also need an Ethernet connection from your laptop to the car. Typically this is just an RJ46 Twisted Pair Ethernet patch cable, but your car could have a unique connector and require a special cable.

Where are you located? When can you be with the car and your laptop to work on this?

    Hi Dave,
i have installed Motec M1 tune 1.4 and Motec i2 standard 1.1. the car has two connections one for M1 and other for i2. i have tried 3 lap tops via ethernet and USB and no lucl..
the team has i2 pro and no issue with getting both data, my std version will not connect.
i am in Melbourne australia, if u could help that would be awesome.
    thank u. David

    Hi,

That sounds like you have a C series colour display in the vehicle as well, and the other Ethernet port in the vehicle is for the Display. i2 does not have any hardware directly connected with it, it is used to analyse data from various MoTeC Data logging devices.

not sure, all i know is that the team can download both data and engine and driver data. how i fix it so can download as well, what needs to be done? when we connect the team laptop one connects and download M1 tune and the other i2 data, no problems, my laptop will only. only difference i can see that i have just std i2.
can u let me know how to fix it?
    thanks,

I2 Std is not the problem.

You will need to install the correct version of Dash Manager for the dash that is installed in the car in order to download data from the dash. You will then use I2 to analyze the data.

So, what MoTeC Dash product do you have installed in the car?

Since you already have M1 Tune installed, why don't you start with trying to download it's data. Use the "Retrieve Logged Data" menu option in M1 Tune, while the laptop is connected to the M1 port in the car, and the ECU is turned on. You may need to check your Ethernet Adapter settings to make sure IPV6 is enabled.
