How to determine the Firmware version of a UTC (USB To CAN) device

The way to determine what firmware your UTC has is as follows:

1. Open the latest version of MoTeC PDM Manager and ensure the UTC is plugged in
2. In the Windows system tray (near the clock), click the up arrow to show hidden icons
3. Double click on MoTeC Device Discovery (black icon with a magnifying glass)
4. Click on the messages tab
5. Scroll down until you find "Detected UTC...." (see attached)

That will tell you the firmware version of the UTC.

MoTeC Discovery contains the firmware for the UTC, it will automatically update it when you plug it in. If you download the latest version of any of the Colour Dash Managers from our website it will give you the latest version.
