Impacted Part Numbers: 41304 and 41308
The supplier of our L10 GPS units has informed MoTeC of a firmware related issue in which the calendar date will reset on August 16th 2025 and report an incorrect date.
Affected units will, as of Saturday August 16th, report a date starting 01/01/2006. All other functionality of the GPS unit will remain unaffected.
This rollover will impact units sold between 2019 - August 1st, 2025.
We have resolved the issue for recently shipped L10 GPS units as of August 5th 2025.
If the GPS is used for lap timing in an ECU/Dash, or logging track position for display in i2, this functionality will continue without issue.
For those with affected units who wish to correct the incorrectly displayed date in i2, this can be done by offsetting the GPS date channel by 150719.

L10 GPS units can be returned to MoTeC Headquarters, MoTeC Europe or MoTeC USA for a firmware flash to reset the date.
