Downgrading UTC Firmware to allow PDM communications

The utility to downgrade the UTC Firmware to V1.1.3 is attached to this Knowledge Base article.  To run this,
only have the UTC connected to the PC, and not connected to any devices. Extract the files from the zip file, and then run the Send UTC V113.bat files to install the older firmware.

Before doing this, connect to the PDM with the latest version of PDM Manager that recognises the serial number of the PDM, and go to Online | Update Firmware. This should show you the Firmware version that is in the PDM so that you can run the appropriate PDM Manager to get the Configuration out, just remember to click on Cancel once you have this information.

Once you have this information uninstall all of the PDM Managers, run the UTC Firmware updater, and then before reinstalling the correct PDM Manager version, find MoTeC.Discovery.exe (should be in C:\Program Files
(x86)\MoTeC\Discovery\1.0) and delete it so that the installer can install the matching version (the installers will not downgrade a later version of discovery) Once this is done, you should be able to connect to the PDM and
retrieve the Configuration. When you have the configuration and can open it, save the file and then install the latest version of PDM Manager and upgrade the PDM Firmware to the Latest version. This will also automatically update the configuration files so that you can send it back into the PDM.
