Mx00 EMP installation on Windows 10 and Windows 11

Due to changes that Microsoft is making to the Windows 11 OS, some of the older MoTeC products re not installing and are coming up with this message

If you get this message, Microsoft has an article about running 16-bit processes/applications in Windows 11. They also offer a "16-bit InstallShield Support package" Which you can download from this webpage:

64-bit versions of Windows don't support 16-bit components, 16-bit processes, or 16-bit applications - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn
 

If you download and run the 16-bit InstallShield Support package from Microsoft it allows for the installation of older programs compiled using the InstallShield installation program.  

Once this has been run, rerun the MoTeC Installer for the ECU Manager.

If it still fails, it may be due to the drivers for the UTC not installing.  To resolve the issue, download and install the Utilities program from the MoTeC website and then retry the ECU Manager installation.

Once this has installed, connect the UTC to the computer and it will automatically update the UTC to the latest Firmware, allowing for communications to be established.
