The Half Bridge outputs are used to drive higher current devices, such as Cam Control Solenoids, Boost Control Valves, Servo motors and in combination with their partner Half Bridge, Drive By Wire throttle servos.
They can cope with 12A low side (pulled to Ground), and 9A high side (BattV Supply) driven, but are not designed to drive high load devices like Fuel Pumps.
• 12 Amp low side driver and 9 Amp high side driver.
• Recirculation via internal high side FET. Cam solenoids may be wired without external recirculation diode.
• Both high and low side drivers can be PWM.
• Pin voltage monitored by 12 bit A/D converter (per output) .
• 24bit timers 0.25usec resolution.
• Suitable for servo throttle (Drive by Wire) (2 outputs required).
• Suitable for general purpose DC servo drive.
• Max current LS 12 Amps minimum.
• Max current HS 9 Amps minimum.
• RMS current 4 Amps.
• Maximum output frequency in PWM modes: low side drive 20KHz, high side drive 1KHz.
• Either 6 or 10 Half Bridge Output pins per device - hardware dependant.
• Loads must be connected to either ECU BAT_POS or ECU BAT_NEG in a full bridge configuration.
Bridge Outputs are made by connecting two paired Half Bridges together, the pairs are as follows.
- Bridge Output 1 is made using Half Bridge 1 and Half Bridge 2
- Bridge Output 2 is made using Half Bridge 3 and Half Bridge 4
- Bridge Output 3 is made using Half Bridge 5 and Half Bridge 6
- Bridge Output 4* is made using Half Bridge 7 and Half Bridge 8
- Bridge Output 5* is made using Half Bridge 9 and Half Bridge 10
* Only on large form factor M1 ECU's
If on Half Bridge of a pair has been allocated to another function, that Bridge output is removed from the available resources list.
