Can I use GPS with an M130?

If you have a rev. Q M130 or higher, then you can wire the L10 directly to the M130, earlier revisions of the hardware require the use of a Dash or STC device to connect GPS.

 GPS Serial Port Resource

Select the Serial Port resource to be used for the GPS on RS232.

Set to Not in Use if Interface is not set to RS232, otherwise -

For M130, rev Q or higher hardware -

• Serial 1 Rx, to use the Udig 6 pin for RS232 Rx.
• Serial 2 Rx, to use the Udig 7 pin for RS232 Rx.
• Setting of Serial N, or Serial N Tx are invalid

M130 below rev Q or any M170 ECU, the serial port is not available, a GPS on RS232 cannot be directly connected. This must be set to Not in Use on those devices.
