This guide shows the recommend method to configure the Air Conditioner control system. Clicking each item (M1 Tune v1.5 only) will select the item and allow you to enter the required information. Once an item has been selected the help, for that item, can be displayed by hitting the F1 key.
The Air Conditioner system controls the operation of an Air Conditioner Clutch.
For this system to operate the following requirements must be met:
- The engine must be running.
- Air Conditioner Request Resource must be configured.
- Air Conditioner Clutch Resource must be configured.
- Air Conditioner Request must be On.
- Air Conditioner Enable must be Enabled. This requires:
- Air Conditioner Enable Throttle Position to be Enabled. Air Conditioner Enable Throttle Position will be Enabled when Throttle Position is below Air Conditioner Enable Throttle Position Threshold - Air Conditioner Enable Throttle Position Hysteresis.
- Air Conditioner Enable Engine Speed to be Enabled. Air Conditioner Enable Engine Speed will be Disabled if Engine Speed is above Air Conditioner Enable Engine Speed Threshold.
- Air Conditioner Enable Refrigerant Pressure must be Enabled. If the Air Conditioner Refrigerant Pressure sensor is not configured, set Air Conditioner Enable Refrigerant Pressure Threshold to a non-zero value.
- Air Conditioner Enable Coolant Temperature must be Enabled. If no Coolant Temperature sensor is configured or the sensor is faulty Coolant Temperature will fall back to Coolant Temperature Estimate. Set Air Conditioner Enable Coolant Temperature Threshold accordingly.
- Air Conditioner Enable Ambient Temperature must be Enabled. If the Ambient Temperature sensor is not configured, set Air Conditioner Enable Ambient Temperature Threshold to zero.
