This guide shows the recommend method to configure the Anti Lag system. Clicking each item (M1 Tune v1.5 only) will select the item and allow you to enter the required information. Once an item has been selected the help, for that item, can be displayed by hitting the F1 key.
The Anti Lag system assists in building boost pressure while the engine is in overrun.
The following conditions must be met for anti lag to enable:
- The system must be armed (see below).
- Exhaust temperature must be below Anti Lag Shutdown Exhaust Temperature.
- Coolant temperature must be below Anti Lag Shutdown Coolant Temperature.
- The value of the Anti Lag Ignition Cut table must be greater than zero.
To arm the anti lag system Throttle Position must exceed Anti Lag Arm Throttle Position for Anti Lag Arm Delay seconds.
Once anti lag is enabled, it will disable if any of the following occur:
- Exhaust temperature exceeds Anti Lag Shutdown Exhaust Temperature
- Coolant temperature exceeds Anti Lag Shutdown Coolant Temperature
- Anti Lag Time exceeds Anti Lag Shutdown Time
- The value of the Anti Lag Ignition Cut table is zero.
During operation of the anti lag system:
- Ignition timing is set to the value of the Anti Lag Ignition Timing Limit Advance Main table
- Boost aim is set to the value of the Anti Lag Boost Aim table
- Throttle aim is set to the value of the Anti Lag Throttle Aim Main table
- A fuel volume trim set by the Anti Lag Fuel Volume Trim table is applied
- Anti Lag Ignition Cut set by the Anti Lag Ignition Cut Main table is applied if it is greater than 1%.
- Anti Lag Fuel Cut set by the Anti Lag Fuel Cut Main table is applied if it is greater than 1%.
While the anti lag system is disabled:
- An engine speed limit set by the Anti Lag Engine Speed Limit table and Anti Lag Engine Speed Limit Fuel Margin parameter is applied.
Anti Lag Engine Speed Limit can be the active engine speed limit if it is the lowest engine speed limit in the calibration, and Anti Lag is disabled. Set to a value above the maximum engine speed limit if not required.
