This guide shows the recommend method to configure a Throttle Servo. Clicking each item (M1 Tune v1.5 only) will select the item and allow you to enter the required information. Once an item has been selected the help, for that item, can be displayed by hitting the F1 key.
The following procedure is for Throttle Servo Bank 1. However the same procedure can be used for Throttle Servo Bank 2.
Throttle Servo should be configured in the following sequence:
- Throttle Servo Bank 1 Motor Output Resource should be Not In Use to ensure that the motor is not driven.
- Configure Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Main Voltage Resource and Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Main Voltage Reference.
- Configure Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Tracking Voltage Resource and Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Tracking Voltage Reference.
- Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Tracking Limit should be 100% unless specified in the relevant data sheet.
- On a closed butterfly set Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Main Offset using the Q key.
- On an open butterfly set Throttle Servo Bank 1 Position Sensor Main Scale using the Q key.
- Throttle Area table should have at least 0% and 100% values entered.
- Throttle Servo Bank 1 Control settings should be entered from the relevant data sheet.
- Throttle Servo Bank 1 Motor settings should be entered from the relevant data sheet.
- Throttle Servo Bank 1 Motor Output Resource should now be Bridge Output 1 so that the motor is driven.
If all is well the Time Graph in this worksheet should show a continuous progression of Throttle Servo Position from 0% to 100% as the pedal is depressed. If tracking errors are evident then either the Main Offset and Scale, or Tracking Scale and Limit, should be checked.
